Food Allergies

Food allergy reactions can manifest as a broad spectrum of symptoms. These reactions range from mild to severe. In extreme cases, they may result in fatality. The symptoms experienced can include, but are not limited to, tingling or itching in the oral cavity, hives, general itching, swelling, gastrointestinal distress, nausea, vomiting, dizziness, lightheadedness, fainting, wheezing, nasal congestion, and respiratory difficulties.

Although I do not provide diagnoses for food allergies, I am here to assist you in understanding how to identify these allergens in food products and to discover safe alternatives.

Food Intolerances

While food allergies can be life-threatening, food intolerances, although not dangerous, can still be quite debilitating. These intolerances primarily impact the gastrointestinal system and may result in symptoms such as nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, constipation, gas, and bloating.

I am here to assist you in identifying these intolerances. It is important to note that some intolerances cannot be diagnosed through standard testing. Therefore, I will work with you to accurately determine the underlying triggers contributing to your discomfort.

Food allergies and intolerances can be serious business.

If you’re reading this, you’ve probably experienced some kind of reaction to a food that you eat frequently. You might not even have realized it was due to an allergy or intolerance.

It’s important to be aware of what your body is telling you. And in fact, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), there are approximately 50 million Americans who suffer from food allergies or food intolerances—and only about half of those people actually know it. That means there are millions more who could be experiencing symptoms related to their condition but don’t realize why they feel so bad after eating certain foods.
